Terms & Conditions

These terms are the agreement between you and Yaygo. They cover how a booking is made and paid for, what happens when plans change, and where our responsibility ends and a host's begins.

Effective October 13, 2026Last updated October 13, 2026

This agreement

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Yaygo mobile app, the websites at yaygo.ph, and every service we offer through them. The service is operated by Yaygo, a sole proprietorship registered with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) of the Republic of the Philippines.

By creating an account, making a booking, or listing a property, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Yaygo.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Philippine law that cannot be waived — in particular the Consumer Act of the Philippines (RA 7394), the Electronic Commerce Act (RA 8792), the Internet Transactions Act of 2023 (RA 11967), and the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173). Where a clause here conflicts with one of those, the law wins and the rest of these terms still stand.

What Yaygo is

Yaygo is a marketplace, not the accommodation provider.

We connect guests with independent hosts — motels, apartelles, and bed & breakfasts. The host owns or operates the property, sets the price and house rules, and provides the stay. Your accommodation contract is with that host. Yaygo facilitates the booking and the payment; we do not own, run, or control any listed property.

This matters when something goes wrong. If a room is not as described, not clean, or not available on arrival, the host is responsible for putting it right — and we will help you get it put right. What we can be responsible for is our own platform: the booking working, the payment being correct, and your information being handled properly.

We check hosts before they can accept bookings and review reports about listings, but we do not inspect every property and we cannot guarantee that a listing is accurate in every detail. Reviews from previous guests exist for that reason — read them.

Your account

  • You must be at least eighteen (18) years old and legally able to enter into contracts.
  • The information on your account must be true, and you must keep it current — a wrong mobile number is how a host fails to reach you at check-in.
  • One person, one account. Do not create an account for someone else or use another person’s account.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password and one-time codes to yourself, and tell us immediately if you think someone else has access.
  • You can close your account at any time from the app. Closing it does not cancel bookings that are already confirmed, and does not erase records we are required to keep (see the Privacy Policy).

Making a booking

How a booking is formed

Selecting a room and completing payment sends a booking request. A booking exists only once Yaygo confirms it — you will get a confirmation in the app and by email or SMS. Until then, nothing is reserved. If a booking cannot be confirmed, any amount taken is returned in full.

Hourly and overnight stays

Many Yaygo properties offer both. An hourly rate covers a fixed block of time from your check-in; an overnight rate covers the host’s stated check-in and check-out times. The rate you booked is shown on your confirmation. Staying beyond it is an extension, charged at the host’s rate and subject to the room being free.

Availability

Availability comes from the host, including whether they are accepting walk-ins. Hosts can close a listing temporarily. We show what the host tells us; in the rare case of a double-booking or a room becoming unavailable, we will help you find an alternative or refund you in full.

At check-in

Bring a valid government-issued ID. Hosts may lawfully require it, and may refuse entry without one. Occupancy is limited to the number of guests on your booking.

Prices and payment

  • All prices are in Philippine pesos (₱). What you pay is the room price plus the fees itemised at checkout, and nothing is added afterwards. Anything the host charges on arrival — a security deposit, an extra-guest fee, parking — is set by the host and disclosed before you book.
  • We do not add a booking or service fee to your bill. You pay the room price the host set, less any discount or voucher applied. Our commission is arranged with the host and comes out of their share — it is never added to what you pay.
  • When you pay through Yaygo, we collect the room price on the host's behalf, as their agent, and pass it on to them. The stay itself is sold to you by the host, so any official receipt or invoice for it comes from the host, not from us. The booking confirmation we email you is your record of the booking and the amount you paid; it is not a tax invoice.
  • The one thing added at checkout is the payment processing fee. It is not ours: it is what our payment provider charges to process your payment, and we pass it on exactly as charged, adding nothing and keeping no part of it. It depends on how you choose to pay, because providers charge different rates — paying by card costs more than an e-wallet, and paying from your Yaygo wallet carries no processing fee at all. Each method's fee is shown next to it before you choose, and the total updates when you change method.
  • You can pay by card, GCash or Maya through our payment processor, from your Yaygo wallet, or in cash on arrival where the host offers it.
  • Card and e-wallet payments are processed by PayMongo. We never receive your full card number (see the Privacy Policy, section 6).
  • Payment is normally taken when the booking is confirmed. Where a host offers pay-on-arrival, you pay the host directly and the same cancellation rules still apply.
  • If a payment fails, is reversed, or is charged back without cause, we may cancel the booking and suspend the account until it is settled.

Whatever price you are shown when you book is what you pay — a later change to our pricing never applies to a booking already made. The payment processing fee is set by our payment provider, not by us, and moves only when their pricing does.

Occasionally a listing shows an obviously wrong price — a decimal in the wrong place, a room for a fraction of its real rate. We are not obliged to honour a manifest pricing error; we will cancel the booking and refund you in full rather than hold you to it.

Cancellations and refunds

The host’s policy governs

Each listing sells under one of two cancellation policies, shown on the listing and again before you pay. Which one applies depends on the host. Whether a cancellation is refunded in full, in part, or not at all depends on that policy and on when you cancel.

Listings marked “Free cancellation”

  • Cancel more than 1 hour before check-in and you are refunded in full.
  • Inside the last hour, or after check-in time, the booking is not refundable.

Every other listing

  • Cancel within 30 minutes of booking and you are refunded in full, whenever check-in is. This matters for same-day and hourly bookings, where check-in may already be less than a day away at the moment you book.
  • Cancel more than 24 hours before check-in and you are refunded in full.
  • Between 24 hours and 1 hour before check-in, 50% is refunded and the rest goes to the host for the late notice.
  • Inside the last hour, or after check-in time, the booking is not refundable.

Refunds are calculated on the room price you paid, after any discount or voucher. The payment processing fee is not refunded: our payment provider charges it the moment your card or e-wallet is debited and does not return it when a booking is cancelled, so there is nothing for us to give back. It is shown separately at checkout for exactly this reason.

The one exception is a cancellation by the host or by us. There you are refunded in full, processing fee included — you did nothing to cause the cancellation and should not be out of pocket for it.

Refunds go back to the payment method you used.

An approved refund is returned to the card or e-wallet you paid with. If you paid from a Yaygo wallet balance, it goes back to that balance. We do not choose the destination — it follows the payment. Card and e-wallet refunds are sent as soon as the refund is approved, but your bank or provider may take a few business days to show them.

If the host cancels

You get a full refund, and we will help you find another stay. A host who cancels confirmed bookings repeatedly may be removed from Yaygo.

No-shows

If you do not arrive and did not cancel, the stay is charged in full and the host is paid. The host held the room for you, and by the time check-out passes it is too late to sell it to anyone else.

You have 24 hours from the end of the stay to tell us something went wrong. Nothing is settled during that window, so if you were prevented from arriving — the host could not be reached, the room was not as listed, an emergency — contact us and we will look at it before anyone is paid. After 24 hours with no dispute, the payment goes to the host automatically.

Wallet, vouchers and points

  • Your Yaygo wallet holds credit from refunds, promotions and referrals. It is not a bank account, it earns no interest, and it is not a stored-value or e-money service.
  • Wallet credit, vouchers and reward points can be spent on Yaygo bookings. They are not transferable, cannot be resold, and are not exchangeable for cash unless we say so or the law requires it.
  • Vouchers and promotions carry their own conditions — minimum spend, eligible listings, an expiry date. Those conditions are shown when you claim them.
  • We may cancel credit, vouchers or points obtained through fraud, error, or abuse of a promotion — for example self-referral or duplicate accounts.
  • Reward points are earned on completed stays and may expire; the current earning and expiry rules are shown in the app’s rewards screen.

If you are a guest

  • Follow the property’s house rules, and any local ordinance that applies — curfews and noise rules are real and enforced.
  • Do not exceed the booked number of guests, and do not bring anyone the host has not agreed to.
  • Treat the property with care. You are responsible for damage you or your guests cause, and the host may charge for it.
  • No illegal activity of any kind on the property. This is not negotiable, and we will cooperate with authorities.
  • Do not use a Yaygo booking for anything other than lodging — a property is not a venue for an event unless the host agreed to it.
  • Leave an honest review. Do not use reviews to threaten a host into a refund.

If you are a host

Your listing

  • Everything in your listing must be accurate and current — photos of the actual rooms, real prices, real amenities, real availability. Misleading listings will be removed.
  • You must have the legal right to let the property, and you must hold every permit and licence your local government requires. Yaygo does not obtain these for you.
  • You are responsible for your own taxes on the income you earn, and for issuing receipts where the law requires them.
  • You must keep the property safe, clean and habitable, and comply with health, safety and fire regulations.
  • You must not discriminate against guests on any ground prohibited by law.

Verification

Before you can accept bookings we verify you and the property, which means submitting a government-issued ID, business permit, and DTI or SEC registration. We may re-verify at any time, and may suspend a listing while a check is outstanding.

Commission and payouts

Yaygo charges a commission on each confirmed booking; the current rate is shown in your host dashboard and we will give you notice before it changes. We pay out your earnings, less commission and any refunds or adjustments, to the bank or e-wallet account on your host profile, on the schedule shown in the dashboard. Payouts can be held where a booking is disputed, a payment is reversed, or verification is incomplete.

A payout fee is deducted from each payout. It is not ours: it is what our payment provider charges to transfer money to your account, and we pass it on exactly as charged, keeping no part of it. It is charged once per payout, not once per booking — every booking you have earned on is paid out together — so withdrawing less often costs you less. The current amount is shown in your dashboard before you confirm a payout, and a payout is not available until your earnings cover it.

Honouring bookings

A confirmed booking is a commitment. Close your listing or update availability rather than cancelling on a guest who has already paid.

Reviews and content

You keep ownership of what you post — photos, listing descriptions, reviews. By posting it you give Yaygo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and adapt it for operating and promoting the platform. That licence ends when you remove the content, except for copies already used in materials already published.

Reviews must be honest and based on a real stay. We do not delete reviews for being unflattering. We do remove content that is false, abusive, discriminatory, obscene, infringing, or posted to manipulate ratings — and we may remove a review that breaks those rules without removing the rating history around it.

You can report a listing, a review or a user from the app. Reports are reviewed by our team, and we act on what we find.

What you must not do

  • Use Yaygo for anything unlawful, or for prostitution, trafficking, or any activity involving a minor.
  • Take a booking off-platform to avoid commission, or ask a guest to pay outside Yaygo.
  • Post a listing you have no right to let, or a property that does not exist.
  • Create fake accounts, fake bookings, or fake reviews, or manipulate ratings and promotions.
  • Use someone else’s payment method, or attempt fraudulent or laundered payments.
  • Scrape, crawl, reverse-engineer, or attack the platform, or try to access data that is not yours.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against another user or our staff.

Our brand and software

The Yaygo name, logo, app, websites, design and software are ours and are protected by intellectual property law. Using Yaygo does not give you any right to them beyond a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and sites as intended. Do not copy our brand, pass yourself off as Yaygo, or build a competing service out of our content.

App Store and Google Play

The Yaygo app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those stores are distributors, not parties to this agreement.

  • This agreement is between you and Yaygo only. Apple and Google are not parties to it and have no obligation to provide any support or maintenance for the app.
  • Your licence to use the iOS app is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price (the app is free, so this amount is zero). Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  • Yaygo, not Apple or Google, is responsible for the app, its content, any product liability claim, and any claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms as they apply to the iOS app, and may enforce them against you.
  • You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and are not on any US Government restricted-parties list.

Suspension and closure

We can suspend or close an account, remove a listing, or cancel a booking where we reasonably believe these terms or the law have been broken, where there is fraud or a risk to someone’s safety, or where we are required to. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

Money you are genuinely owed is not forfeited by a suspension — we will settle confirmed bookings and legitimate host earnings, though we may hold them while an investigation is open.

Disclaimers

Yaygo is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We work hard to keep it accurate and running, but we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every listing detail is accurate, or that a stay will meet your expectations.

We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of hosts or guests, the condition or legality of a property, or anything that happens during a stay. Again — the host provides the accommodation, and this disclaimer does not limit anything the Consumer Act of the Philippines says we cannot limit.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent Philippine law allows, Yaygo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss — lost profit, lost opportunity, or a spoiled trip — arising from your use of the platform.

Where we are found liable, our total liability for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the total amount you paid through Yaygo for that booking. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Yaygo against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the platform, your violation of any law, or — if you are a host — a claim brought by a guest about your property.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

If something goes wrong, start with us — email yaygoph@gmail.com and we will try to settle it directly. Most disputes between a guest and a host are resolved this way, and it is far faster than any alternative.

If that fails, you may raise the matter with the Department of Trade and Industry, which handles consumer complaints about online transactions under the Internet Transactions Act. Any dispute that reaches court is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the proper courts of the Philippines.

Changes to these terms

We will update these terms as Yaygo changes. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Yaygo after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you can close your account.

Bookings already confirmed are governed by the terms in force when you made them.
